Why Work With ECOCABLES on Ribbon Cable Assembly Projects
- We can match JST-style housings and compatible alternatives to give your ribbon cable assembly project more sourcing flexibility and lower costs
- Our engineers look at the full appliance connection path. This includes the control board, display/UI board and available housing space.
- IDC termination uses matched tooling and controlled press settings for common 1.27 mm ribbon cable and 2.54 mm IDC connector systems.
- Once the sample is approved, we use it as the production reference so later orders match the confirmed build; related project records can be kept for at least 3 years.
High-Reliability Ribbon Cable Assemblies Manufacturer
ECOCABLES manufactures ribbon cable assemblies for signal connections inside household appliances. Depending on the cable and connector, an assembly may use 28 AWG stranded copper conductors, UL AWM insulation, and a temperature rating of up to 105°C. We support UL Style 2651, a not-bad choice for flat internal wiring and rated for 300 V and 105°C.
Our ribbon cable assemblies can be customized by cable length, connector direction and fold layout to match the actual space inside the appliance. If you are interested in the cable, please tell us about your production targets and requirements. Our team will help you plan the next step.
Ribbon Cable Assemblies by Pin Count
Choose the pin count and connector configuration to match different control boards and UI modules inside the appliance.

Compact signal connection for small control boards and appliance UI modules.

Suitable for multi-signal PCB connections where more circuits are required.

Common choice for control and interface connections with medium pin density.

Used where a larger number of control or signal paths need to stay organized in one flat cable.

High-density internal interconnect for control boards and multi-function modules.

Supports larger circuit counts in compact appliance electronics and control systems.
Why ECOCABLES Ribbon Cable Assemblies Work Better
Our ribbon cable assemblies are designed around your compact multi-circuit connections inside appliance control systems.

Several conductors are terminated in one operation. This reduces separate wire preparation and helps you speed up multi-pin assembly.

The flat cable fits into narrow spaces between control boards and appliance housings where round wire bundles may be too bulky.

Common ribbon cables use 1.27 mm conductor spacing, fitting multiple signal paths into a narrow cable width for your application.

Red-edge markings, keyed connectors and a defined connector direction make Pin 1 easier to identify and reduce mistakes during assembly.

Ribbon cable can fold around PCB edges or housing features to follow the appliance’s internal routing path.

Strain relief keeps pulling force away from the IDC contact area and limits stress during assembly and use.

Straight-through wiring or a custom pin assignment can be selected to match the way your control boards are actually connected.

We will consider shielded or twisted-pair constructions when your ribbon cable runs close to motors or other electrical noise sources.
Integrated Cable and Connector Supply
ECOCABLES are supplying the ribbon cable assembly together with the matching connector, so you can source the cable, housing and termination parts from the same supplier. We can check mating compatibility and board-side fit before the order moves into production. This is useful for appliance projects where one wrong connector choice can stop final assembly even when the cable itself is correct.

Broader Connector Matching Options
ECOCABLES’s existing projects use JST-, Molex-, TE- and Amphenol-style connector solutions, giving you more choices when matching an existing PCB interface or replacing a difficult-to-source part. For reference, common ribbon IDC connector families on the market cover 26–28 AWG stranded wire, with current ratings around 1–1.5 A per contact when all lines are loaded.

ECOCABLES Ribbon Cable Assembly Manufacturing Capabilities

ECOCABLES brings 10+ years of connector-industry engineering experience to ribbon cable assembly development. From conductor count and cable length to connector selection and folding layout, each assembly can be configured around the required installation. Our 8,000 m² facility, 260+ machines and over 70% automated equipment give us the production base to handle multi-position ribbon cable assemblies with better repeatability at scale.
We apply ISO 9001-controlled procedures throughout ribbon cable assembly production to keep cable dimensions, connector positioning and assembly quality consistent from batch to batch. For this product, we also help you with UL wire options and RoHS-controlled materials. And current REACH/SVHC documentation is available when needed.
Ribbon Cable Solutions for Home Appliances
We develop ribbon cable assemblies around the internal layout of household appliances.

Washing machines often separate the front control panel from the main PCB. Ribbon cable assemblies keep multiple signal paths organized in one flat connection, which is useful behind narrow panels and button interfaces.

Refrigerators increasingly use separate display and control boards in doors or front panels. Ribbon cable assemblies can connect these modules without creating a bulky round-wire bundle. Depending on the connector family, insulation resistance can reach 5,000 MΩ, while 250 VAC ratings are available for suitable internal signal applications.

Coffee machines often combine a main control board with display and sensor interfaces in a compact housing. A custom ribbon cable assembly can simplify these board-to-board signal paths and keep the internal wiring easier to route. Selected IDC ribbon connector systems are rated at around 1 A per contact.

Customer Feedback on ECOCABLES Ribbon Cable Assemblies
A ribbon cable does not always have a fixed “up” side. The correct direction depends on the connector keying, Pin 1 mark and PCB layout. Some polarized headers use square mating posts and guide structures to control alignment, so the cable direction should follow the connector system rather than appearance alone.
The cable is placed into the IDC connector and aligned with the contact slots. When pressure is applied, the contacts cut through the insulation and grip the conductors underneath. At ECOCABLES, we will set connector direction and fold layout before production so the finished ribbon cable assembly can fit the appliance directly.
Small standard orders with ready materials usually ship in 7–15 days. If you decide to place larger custom ribbon cable assembly orders, production normally takes 15–30 days. And we should make sure new connector sourcing, special cable layouts and higher quantities.
